Terra Lucia
Fine baked goods from old family recipes
Conestrade (Italian coffee/teacake)
Our generations-old family recipe from
After the first few days or so, put it in the fridge
and, if it lasts that long, you can leave it for even up to two weeks. It takes on another incredible character -
imagine an elegant, light fruitcake.
Serve it cold then, for a bit of a tasty surprise.
It's true.
Some people get one to eat right away, and another to chill.
Ingredients Flour,
milk, apricots, pistacios, sugar, eggs, butter, anise seeds, vanilla &
almond extracts, b.p,. salt.
All of our baked goods always
have as many organic ingredients, and as little wheat flour and sugar as
possible. At least 95% of this batch is
organic.
Our Goal
To honor some of our family roots - Terra Lucia,
a blend of my Mother's maiden name, Terenzini (person of the earth),
with my Grandmother's maiden name, Luciani (tribe of the people of the
light). To honor them by creating the
tastiest, freshest, and finest quality actually home made baked goods which
come from very old family traditions, or those which we can imagine ourselves
(like our biscotti, or macaroons!).
Why are we doing this? Because we love our family's Conestrade,
we've had so much fun refining our other recipes, and we can't resist sharing
them with even more people.
Life is good. From our hearth to
yours.
